We're sure you'll be surprised to learn that Meryl Streep was one of Donald Trump's favorite actresses in 2015
Meryl Streep's comments about Donald Trump at the Golden Globes on Sunday were predictably met with a strong negative reaction from the president-elect on Monday morning.
In another bit of news that will make you sigh and say, "Of course he did," a 2015 profile of Trump in The Hollywood Reporter has resurfaced, in which Trump strongly praises Streep.

"Julia Roberts is terrific, and many others. Meryl Streep is excellent; she's a fine person, too," Trump said, in response to the question "Any actress you love?"
"The problem," Trump continued, "Is I'll name three or four or five and then the hundred that I know will be insulted, and I don't mean to insult them."
Streep's fall from the top two out of 100 actresses Trump loves to "one of the most over-rated actresses in Hollywood" is an impressive drop for the actress. Particularly given that Streep has done little to tarnish her legacy since 2015 aside from being nominated for an Oscar for Into the Woods, a Golden Globe for Florence Foster Jenkins, and picking up an honorary Globe for lifetime achievement.
