Wendell Foster launches 'Red, White, & Bourbon Raffle'

Wendell Foster, a local 501©3 non-profit organization serving people with disabilities, has launched its “Red, White, & Bourbon Raffle,” which features five exclusive prizes including a bottle of Pappy Van Winkle 12 Year for the grand prize and a bottle of Pappy Van Winkle 10 Year for the second prize.

In addition to the Pappy Van Winkle 12 year, the grand prize features a bottle of Elmer T. Lee and E.H. Taylor Single Barrel. Along with the Pappy Van Winkle 10 Year, the second prize also includes a bottle of George T. Stagg and E.H. Taylor Small Batch.

The raffle’s third prize is a trio of rare bourbon, featuring a bottle of Woodford 15 Year, Weller 12 Year French Label, and Seagram’s 1776 Premium American Whiskey in a Tiffany & Co. decanter while the the fourth prize is a collection of six Maker’s Mark bottles honoring the distillery’s founders. Three bottles feature artwork by Owensboro native and artist Aaron Kizer, with one label being hand-painted and signed by Kizer. This bottle is considered a rare collector’s item, with only 40 manufactured and sold.

The fifth prize is a bundle of five University of Kentucky-themed bottles of Maker’s Mark that include Maker’s Mark 2010 with John Calipari, Maker’s Mark 2013 with Dan Issel, Maker’s Mark 2008 with Joe B. Hall and Maker’s Mark 2014 with Mark Stoops.

Tickets are $25 each, with each ticket being a separate and equal chance to win one of the five prizes. Tickets will be sold until 11:59 p.m. July 1 with the raffle drawing taking place at noon July 2 in the Elmer Administration Building on Wendell Foster’s campus and on livestream on Wendell Foster’s Facebook page.

Proceeds from the raffle will benefit Wendell Foster, which provides over 65,000 services annually to children and adults with disabilities
