Welp, Trump has embraced Twitter's new 280-character limit
President Donald Trump took advantage of Twitter's expanded character count on Tuesday — but the excess words didn't really add much.

He used 216 characters to let everyone know he was about to make a speech in South Korea and then travel to China. Riveting stuff.
Getting ready to make a major speech to the National Assembly here in South Korea, then will be headed to China where I very much look forward to meeting with President Xi who is just off his great political victory.

But the old 140-character Twitter would've worked just fine to get his pretty boring point across. Here's what his tweet should've looked like:

Instead Trump added a politically charged comment about China's president, considering his re-election wasn't the most democratic process. It looks like more spacious tweets leave room for more controversial statements.

Trump really embraced the long tweets. Within an hour of his first 140-plus tweet, Trump sent out another one. This tweet contained 215 characters about the Virginia gubernatorial election.
Ed Gillespie worked hard but did not embrace me or what I stand for. Don’t forget, Republicans won 4 out of 4 House seats, and with the economy doing record numbers, we will continue to win, even bigger than before!

Looks like Trump is already getting used to 280 characters.
