Unlike other hair tools, you don't have to raise your arms super high to use it, and you can create big curls, soft waves, beachy waves, or subtle texture with it. Since you'll need to hold your wrapped hair around the barrel, you do have to be careful about avoiding the hot center-just like you would with a wand. But it comes with a heat-resistant glove if you want to be extra safe.
