Weezer is coming to Sacramento for 30th anniversary album tour. How to get tickets

Weezer is celebrating the 30th anniversary of its landmark “Blue Album” with a nationwide tour — and it’s stopping in Sacramento.

On Monday, the Grammy Award-winning alternative rock band announced its latest tour, “Voyage to the Blue Planet” on social media.

The Flaming Lips and Dinosaur Jr. will be joining Weezer on tour.

When and where is Weezer concert in Sacramento?

Weezer will kick off its California sprint at Sacramento’s Golden 1 Center on Tuesday, Oct. 8, before performance dates in San Francisco and Los Angeles.

Weezer released its debut studio album, “Blue Album,” in 1994, catapulting the band to mainstream fame.

The triple platinum-selling album features some of the band’s best-known tracks, including “Say It Ain’t So,” “Buddy Holly” and “Undone - The Sweater Song.”

“Not only are we playing the album in full each and every night of the tour, but we also plan on playing all of your favorite Weezer songs, rarities and more,” the band said on its website.

How to get presale tickets

Weezer fans have chances to get early access to tickets.

If you’re a member of the Weezer fan club, you can get tickets at 9 a.m. Wednesday. You can become a member online by downloading an app.

If you have a Citi card, you can also get pre-sale tickets at 9 a.m. on Wednesday.

Additionally, you can join a mailing list to get pre-sale access, which starts at noon on Wednesday.

Tickets for the general public go on sale starting at 10 a.m. Friday on Ticketmaster. Ticket prices were not yet available as of Tuesday morning.
