Weezer to celebrate 30 year anniversary of ‘Blue Album’ in Chicago this fall

CHICAGO — It’s been 30 years since 1994? Say it ain’t so!

Weezer will bring their “Voyage to the Blue Planet” tour to the Allstate Arena in Rosemont on Friday, Sept. 6.

The upcoming tour will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the release of their debut studio album widely known as the Blue Album in 1994.

Celebrating House Music: ARC Music Festival releases 2024 lineup

The album featured hit songs “Buddy Holly,” “Say It Ain’t So,” “Undone – The Sweater Song,” and “My Name Is Jonas.”

The Grammy Award winning rock band will play their 1994 debut studio album in its entirety along with other hit songs, during the “Voyage to the Blue Planet” tour.

Special guests The Flaming Lips and Dinosaur Jr. will join Weezer as part of the upcoming North America tour.

Kid Cudi heading to Rosemont this summer

The event will begin at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 6.

The Allstate Arena is located at 6920 Mannheim Road in Rosemont.
