Weezer bringing 30th anniversary tour to Bridgestone Arena

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Alt-rockers Weezer are celebrating three decades on the airwaves with a brand new tour, and they’ll be coming to Music City as part of it.

In celebration of 30 years since the release of the group’s self-titled debut album, Weezer is embarking on an extensive North American tour, “Voyage to the Blue Planet.” The tour includes a stop at Bridgestone Arena on Tuesday, Sept. 17, with special guests The Flaming Lips and Dinosaur Jr., according to producing partner Live Nation.

Who is coming to Nashville in concert in 2024?

The group exploded onto the rock scene in 1994 with what came to be known as the “Blue Album,” featuring smash hits such as “Buddy Holly” and “Say It Ain’t So.” The band will perform the Blue Album in full during the tour, as well as other fan favorites, rarities and more.

Fans can sign up for the band’s mailing list to access to the “Voyage to the Blue Planet” presale tickets Wednesday, March 13, at noon.
