Anthropic is expanding to Europe and raising more money
On the heels of OpenAI announcing the latest iteration of its GPT large language model, its biggest rival in generative AI in the U.S. announced an expansion of its own. Anthropic said Monday that Claude, its AI assistant, is now live in Europe with support for "multiple languages," including French, German, Italian and Spanish across Claude.ai, its iOS app and its business plan for teams. The launch comes after Anthropic extended its API to Europe to get developers using and integrating its models.

Google's 3D video conferencing platform, Project Starline, is coming in 2025 with help from HP
In 2021, Google kicked off work on Project Starline, a corporate-focused teleconferencing platform that uses 3D imaging, cameras and a custom-designed screen to let people converse with someone as if they were in the same room -- more or less. In a blog post published ahead of Google I/O, Google said that it'll collaborate with HP to start commercializing Starline sometime in 2025. Google's also working to integrate Starline with popular videoconferencing services like Zoom and Google Meet, the company says.

Airtel, India's second-largest telecom operator, said on Monday that it has entered into a long-term partnership with Google Cloud to develop and deliver cloud and generative AI products to Indian businesses. The partnership aims to tap Airtel's extensive customer base, which, according to the company, includes 2,000 large enterprises and a million emerging businesses. The companies plan to offer AI solutions, including generative AI, which Airtel will train using its vast datasets.
