Weekend storms move out of St. Louis, mild start to new week

ST. LOUIS – The heaviest rain and thunderstorm threats overnight are on the way out Monday morning, paving the way for a calm start to the new work week.

Any severe weather concerns lingering from the weekend are pretty much done, and there haven’t been any reports of significant damage in the St. Louis metro.

Keep in mind, a flood advisory has been issued for St. Louis City and County, so there could be some spots of localized flooding.

We’ll see a trend of climbing temperatures over the next few days. We’re anticipating a high of around 74 degrees on Monday, followed by a high likely around 80 degrees on Tuesday and then a projected peak at 85 degrees on Wednesday.

There’s a chance that spot storms could return Wednesday. Rain and storm chances build up as we draw closer to next weekend.
