WEEKEND RECAP: Two men dead in separate homicides over the weekend

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Two men died in two different shootings over the course of this past weekend, according to Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan.

Bryan confirmed the first shooting in the 4300 block of Victory Drive claimed the life of Andrew Jackson, 77. Jackson was pronounced dead at 7:55 p.m. on Saturday in Piedmont Columbus Regional’s ER.

Less than 24 hours later, Willi Malik Harris Jr., 25, was pronounced dead at 4:44 p.m. in an empty lot off of Victory and Airview Drive, according to Bryan.

Both of these shootings are under investigation.
