Wedding Photo with Special Story Celebrates Multiple Generations of Love
Weddings aren't just about the bond between a bride and groom. They're also about family, and this viral photo perfectly captures the love that runs deep in this one.
In this sweet image, taken by photographer Ashley Abel, newlyweds Kalin and Matt Haley are captured kissing alongside the other longtime loves in their family, both of sets of parents, who have been married for several decades.
The moment came together when the couple went to take a family photograph outside of their wedding reception near Essex Park, Connecticut. "Ashley suggested that everyone kiss and initially our parents said, 'No, no' and were apprehensive but they just went for it," Kalin told Yahoo Lifestyle. "Then Matt's father saw my dad dip my mom-you can see her laughing in the photo-so he did it too."
The unique photograph depicts the long and loving marriages found in this clan. "Both our dads still swoon over their wives," Kalin said. Matt's parents (on the left) have been married for nearly 50 years, while Kalin's mom and dad (on the right), have been married for 30.
And for two people who just began their marriage, the image will serve as a meaningful reminder of enduring love. "It reminds me that love can conquer all," Kalin said. "It's special to have this photo."
