Webster Groves Police asking for help in string of gas station burglaries

WEBSTER GROVES, Mo. – The Webster Groves Police Department is asking for the public’s help in solving a series of burglaries at a gas station.

Since November, there have been four incidents at the Phillips 66 Energy Express, one happening Monday morning, located at the intersection of Laclede Station Road and Big Bend Boulevard.

In two cases, including the one on Monday morning, the suspects were driving a white Tesla. The other two incidents have a lone suspect stealing cigarettes and money.

Around 3 a.m. Monday morning, police were notified of a suspect walking into the building and going behind the cash register with a trash bag. Police believe this individual is also responsible for a burglary on Nov. 28, where another suspect distracted the cashier while he went to the back and filled a trash bag with Newport cigarettes.

Suspect charged in Grove shooting over mistaken vehicle

Then on Dec. 24, an unknown suspect threw a rock through the glass door, also filling a large trash bag with Newport cigarettes.

Nearly two months later, on Feb. 23, an individual wearing a ski mask approached the register, stated he had a gun, and demanded money. The suspect left on foot.

It remains unclear to police if that individual is connected to the same suspect from this morning.

Anyone with information surrounding any of these incidents is asked to contact the Webster Groves Police Department at (314) 645-3000.
