Wear next for wearables? in CNET UK podcast 401

Wear ever next? With the biggest names in technology counting the days to unveil their latest kit, we're turning the spotlight on what we expect to be the biggest trend at next week's IFA trade show: wearable technology.

IFA is the annual tech-stravaganza where manufacturers gather to unleash their new products for the rest of the year, and this year we're going to see an armful of smartwatches and other wearables, from the useful to the quirky -- hello, Archos Bluetooth hat.

One big name is notable by its absence from IFA, but we doubt that'll stop it from trying to steal everybody's thunder. Apple is heavily rumoured to be readying the iPhone 6 -- and maybe even an iWatch -- for a launch on or around 9 September, which is nicely timed to take the wind out of Samsung's sails.

(And in fact, shortly after we recorded the show, Apple sent out its invite for that very date.)
