Weapons call in Wrightstown results in high-risk stop, large police presence

WRIGHTSTOWN, Wis. (WFRV) – A weapons call in Wrightstown early Friday morning drew a large police presence near Longwood and Nicole Lane.

According to the Wrightstown Police Department, officers responded to the area of Longwood Lane and Nicole Lane around 1:30 a.m. on March 15 for a weapons call.

Officers were able to find the suspect vehicle, leading to a high-risk traffic stop and a large police presence.

It was noted in the release that the subject complied and the situation ended without incident with no further threat to the community.

The Brown County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Wrightstown Police Department with the incident.
