The WCSO stated that due to the severity of the call and Spears being charged with attempted second-degree murder in 2021, deputies gave commands for him to surrender.

Spears then allegedly ran inside the home. He reportedly came out before deputies reached the porch and was arrested.

“The victim and witnesses on scene said there was an argument in which Spears racked a blacked pistol and stated he was going to shoot the victim and then himself,” the WCSO said in the release.

He was charged with the following:

  • Aggravated domestic assault

  • Unlawful carrying or possession of a weapon

  • Resisting arrest

As of Tuesday, Spears is being held at the Washington County Detention Center without bond. He appeared in court on Monday.
