Boater safe after search efforts at Cherry Creek State Park

DENVER (KDVR) — South Metro Fire Rescue and Colorado Parks and Wildlife responded to a water rescue Saturday evening. The boater was located alive and safe on land Saturday evening.

South Metro Fire said drones assisted with the search.

The boater rescue crews were looking for safely swam to shore and contacted authorities, according to SMFR.

SMFR was at the park Sunday to retrieve the boat.
