Watch White House Correspondents' Dinner Host Conan O'Brien at the Event in 1995 [Video]

Except for the Judge Ito joke, the current-and-former host's material holds up.

Late night's Conan O'Brien's just been named the host of this year's White House Correspondents' Dinner, set for April 27. But he's taken the gig before, all the way back in 1995. We've got the video to prove it, below.

O'Brien, then the newly crowned host of NBC's "Late Night," looks about 14 as he makes jokes about his low ratings; the Secret Service discovering during their background check that he's "technically" still a virgin; and a joke about Judge Ito that killed back then but made us stop and scratch our heads when we watched it today.

The WHCD is the Oscars and the prom for Washington power brokers, and it's started to attract Hollywood attendees like Claire Danes, the odd Kardashian, and "Modern Family" castmembers like Sofia Vergara and Julie Bowen, who all attended last year (when Jimmy Kimmel hosted).

Did you know O'Brien had hosted before? Do you think he'll be as funny this year? (Did you get the Judge Ito punchline?)
