Watch water-powered rocket trike do 162 mph
Frenchman François Gissy has an interesting hobby. He builds insanely fast rocket bikes. His most recent creation is a rocket trike, powered only by compressed air and rainwater. It's like a grade-school science project you can ride, but with severe consequences if it goes wrong.
On the rocket trike, which you can see in the video above, Gissy managed a top speed of 162 miles per hour at Circuit Paul Ricard. Perhaps even more impressive (or frightening, depending on how you look at it) are the acceleration figures. The trike did 0-62 mph in just over half a second (0-100 kph in 0.551 seconds). Gissy covered the first 60 feet in just 0.852 milliseconds, pulling an average of 5.138 g in that same distance.

Gissy has also built and tested a rocket bicycle, which he rode to an alarming 207 mph in 4.8 seconds. He's currently looking for sponsorship to build even crazier vehicles. We hope he gets it.
