Watch for the volcano: Here’s when that new seafood restaurant will open in Fort Worth

Rockfish Seafood to open in Fort Worth

Hey, Bud! When does Rockfish open on Camp Bowie Boulevard?

—West sider

Hey, Bud! Is that the same Rockfish that used to be on Hulen Street?

—South sider

The Dallas-area Rockfish Seafood restaurants, known for dishes such as volcano shrimp or Southwest seafood enchiladas, will return to Fort Worth in late March at 6333 Camp Bowie Blvd.

That’s in front of The Lunch Box and the Black Rooster Bakery. It’s next to a McAlister’s Deli.

If you want a preview, try locations at 3785 S. Cooper St., Arlington, or 228 State St., Southlake.

Looking for family-style Italian

Hey, Bud! I have a family member whom we always take to Carmine’s in Vegas. Wondering if we have a comparable family-style Italian restaurant here in Fort Worth.

—Jack, Arlington

Can’t think of one.

The Florida-based Buca di Beppo family-style chain has a Southlake location at 2701 Texas 114 East, but I wouldn’t compare it.

Tandoor, Maharaja lead Indian buffets

Hey, Bud! What are your favorite recommendations for Indian restaurants?

—Dave, Fort Worth

I like them all, but the favorites are still the old-timers — particularly Tandoor in Arlington and Maharaja in Fort Worth.

They’ve both been around 40 years. Try the lunch buffets. Tandoor is at 1200 N. Fielder Road, and Maharaja is at 6308 Hulen Bend Blvd., Fort Worth.

The most beautiful I’ve seen is Mughlai, 3311 Texas 114 East, Southlake.
