Three years after the release of their mega-hit collaboration “Latch,” electronic duo Disclosure and singer Sam Smith havejoined forces once more -- this time on a groovy track called “Omen.”
Disclosure dropped the song, and an accompanying music video, on Monday morning. Thus far, the video has been watched more than 2.5 million times on YouTube.
Sharing the release of the track with his fans on social media Monday, Smith expressed his elation.
Within hours, the 23-year-old Grammy Award-winning singer said the song -- which will feature on Disclosure’s upcoming album “Caracal” -- had soared to the number 2 spot on the iTunes UK chart.
“It's a beautiful thing to wake up to @disclosure #OMEN being number 2 on UK iTunes and seeing all this insane response,” Smith wrote in an Instagram caption Tuesday, accompanying a snap of him andHoward and Guy Lawrence, the British brothers behind Disclosure.
In anearlier Instagram post featuring another shot with the house duo, the singer wrote that he was thrilled to be “be releasing music with my best friends again.”
