Rutgers is pulling out all the stops in the Gator Bowl.

Trailing Wake Forest 14-7 early in the second quarter Friday, a little trickery led to a Scarlet Knights scoring drive.

On a second and 7 from the Wake Forest 37-yard line, Rutgers quarterback Noah Vedral threw a backward pass to WR Isaiah Washington, who turned and threw across the field to an open Johnny Langan.

Langan, who had plenty of open field ahead of him, got a downfield block from Vedral and tiptoed the sidelines before getting knocked out of bounds at the 11-yard line.

The play led to a 29-yard field goal by Rutgers kicker Valentino Ambrosio to cut Wake Forest’s lead to 14-10.
