Watch: Rough surf comes to Ocean City as Hurricane Lee moves north off East Coast

Hurricane Lee is barreling toward New England and Canada, and even though it's been downgraded to a Category 1 storm, its impact was still felt in Ocean City, Maryland, on Friday.

Millions of residents across eastern New England and parts of Canada remained under tropical storm warnings Friday afternoon as Hurricane Lee moved faster toward the region as a Category 1 hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 80 mph, according to the National Hurricane Center.

And even in Ocean City, the surf is rough Friday, as the Ocean City Beach Patrol warned on Facebook.

"The surf is very rough today, but the OCBP lifeguards are out watching. This solitary lifeguard, Summer, is keeping an eye on things near 20th Street. Note - no more than knee deep today. Thank you very much to Ocean City Beach Patrol."

And as proof, the Ocean City Fire Department went live with this video capturing the rough surf covering pretty much the entire beach.
