Watch: Officer tackles runaway pig

(WJW) – A police officer was caught on camera capturing one of several pigs on the loose in Grantsville, Utah, on Thursday.

In the video posted by the Grantsville City Police Department with the caption, “Pig situation handled,” officer Cory Cooper is seen cornering and then diving in to capture the hog.

Top state officials alert public about eclipse

According to the police department’s Facebook page, this runaway pig is just one of several “running at large” in the area. The department has asked for an owner to step forward to get their pigs.

“If you are missing some hogs in the area of 700 S Quirk St. They are running at large. The city is going to try and trap them which could be done at the owner’s expense. So please, if they are yours try and collect them as soon as possible,” the department said on Facebook.

According to local news station 2KUTV, no one has yet come to get the runaway pigs, who were taken to a nearby animal rescue.
