Watch: Obama Takes His Gun Plan on the Road

President Obama just finished speaking to a group of local leaders in Minneapolis about the coming  battle over gun-violence legislation in Washington — and now he's about to take his plan to the people. Before his speech, which we'll update live here, Obama met with Minnesota officials, including Minneapolis mayor R.T. Rybak, to discuss where the country is heading with gun laws. For now, he's selling a proposal that still seeks a re-institution of an assault-weapons ban. Per the White House pool report, Rybak said he supports the President's three pillars of his "comprehensive set of commonsense ideas" about gun control: the assault-weapons ban, increased background checks, and a ban on high-capacity magazines.
