By Jazz Monroe.
Norah Jones covered Soundgarden’s “Black Hole Sun” last night at Detroit’s Fox Theater, the venue where the group played their final show before Chris Cornell’s death last week, Stereogum reports. Watch fan footage of the solo-piano cover below. Since Cornell’s death on May 17, groups including Ryan Adams, Metallica, U2, Aerosmith, and Megadeth have covered his songs in tribute. Cornell was cremated yesterday, TMZ reports, and his ashes will be buried in a private ceremony Friday, before the site is opened to the public.
