Watch Mac DeMarco Invite a Fan on Stage to Play His Guitar Part
At Lowlands Festival in the Netherlands, Mac DeMarco pointed to a kid in the crowd who was holding up a sign that said: "Hey Mac, may I play a song with you?"
Not bothered by the request, Mac happily responded, "What song do you want to play?" before inviting the kid on stage and handing him his guitar.
When the song kicks in at the 1:50 mark and the fan competently fills in for Mac, a giant smile takes over DeMarco's face and the crowd rallies behind the kid. Or, as all the YouTube commenters on the popular clip put it: "Hey kid leave some pussy for the rest of us" and "This kid fucks."
Apparently this isn't the first time this tactic has worked for a fan at a Mac DeMarco show. In July of 2016, a fan held up a sign that said "May I play Ode to Viceroy?" and Mac gladly accepted.
