Watch Lorde Cover Bruce Springsteen

“It’s a special one.”

At her recent show in Christchurch, New Zealand, Lorde performed a cover of Bruce Springsteen’s hit “I’m on Fire.” “This is a song I love a lot,” she announced. “It’s a special one.” At the end of the track, she weaves it into her Pure Heroine song “400 Lux.” Watch it go down below. Lorde’s cover returns the favor after Springsteen opened a 2014 show with a cover of Lorde’s breakout single “Royals.” In the last few months, Lorde has also covered songs by the 1975 and Phil Collins. She is currently on tour behind her latest album Melodrama. Next year, she embarks on a North American leg featuring support from Mitski and Run the Jewels.
