Watch Khalid's Stirring NPR Tiny Desk Concert

NPR's Tiny Desk concert has been killing it recently, with sessions from Jorja Smith, Goldlink, and Daniel Caesar. The format routinely results in the definitive live versions of artists' most cherished cuts and Khalid's newly unveiled performance is no exception.

The three-song set includes intimate, acoustic versions of "Young Dumb & Broke," "Location," and "Saved." Looking back on the creation of "Saved," one of the earliest songs he wrote, Khalid recalled the negative reaction he received from some people, and how he moved past that. Now, Khalid is a certified star, with multiple Top 20 Billboard singles and a Top 10 album with American Teen. His latest moves have been collaborations with Billie Eilish on "Lovely," Ty Dolla $ign and 6LACK on "OTW," and Normani on "Love Lies." He's been hinting at a new album on the way, too.

Watch Khalid's Tiny Desk Concert now and throwback to our February 2017 interview with him just before American Teen came out below.
