Watch Katy Perry 'Roar' as She Performs at the DNC in Support of Hillary Clinton

Hillary Clinton is ready to " Roar"!

The Democratic presidential nominee gained some major star power Thursday evening when Katy Perry gave a high-energy performance at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia's Wells Fargo Center.

Before performing her new single " Rise" and old favorite "Roar," Perry implored the audience – which included current flameOrlando Bloom – to exercise their right to vote.

"I don't have a formal education, but I do have an open mind and I have a voice," she said. "So I'm asking you to have an open mind and to use your voice."

Perry continued, "Because on November 8, you'll be just as powerful as an NRA lobbyist. You'll have as much say as any billionaire. Or, you can just cancel out your weird cousin's vote if you like."

She finished: "Remember, it's not where you come from, it's what you grow into."

Is Hillary Clinton Intimidated by Donald Trump?

Perry, 31, has been an avid supporter of Clinton's campaign since the very beginning.

In October, the singer performed in Iowa ahead of a Democratic fundraising dinner in the crucial swing state. In the hours leading up to her performance, Perry took over Clinton's Instagram to share a selfie with Clinton and photos of her patriotic outfit and the "POTUS" necklace she gifted the presidential hopeful.
