Wallflowers fans got a Bon Jovi bonus Friday at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park.

Jon Bon Jovi joined from Wallflowers, fronted by Jakob Dylan, for a cover of “What’s So Funny 'Bout Peace, Love and Understanding,” written by Nick Lowe and made famous by Elvis Costello.

“If you're going to come watch the show, you got sing with us,” said Dylan, son of Bob Dylan.

Bon Jovi and Dylan traded verses and sang the choruses on a single mic in the packed Pony during the encore.

The Wallflowers recently released the album “Exit Wounds.”

Bon Jovi previously joined Dylan and the Wallflowers on stage in 1997 at the former Tradewinds nightclub in Sea Bright. He sang “Bring It On Home to Me” with the band and Bruce Springsteen, who had also joined in.
