Funeral service for District Attorney Stacey Jackson

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — District Attorney Stacey Jackson died in his Harris County home on Sunday, May 5. On Thursday, May 16, friends and family gathered at Cascade Hills church for Jackson’s funeral service.

Jackson was well known throughout the Chattahoochee Valley as a prosecutor and criminal defense attorney. He was appointed to be the DA of the six-county West Georgia circuit two years ago by Gov. Brian Kemp.

Jackson, 50, was a native of Harris County.

The District Attorney’s Office shared this message on Jackson’s passing:

“The entire District Attorney’s Office family mourns Stacey’s passing. He was a tremendous leader who guided rebuilding our office after a difficult time. He will be greatly missed by everyone. Please keep the Jackson family in your thoughts and prayers. Please respect their privacy at this time.”

Jackson is survived by his parents Laura and Arnold Jackson as well as his two sons.
