A full Pink Moon was captured during the sunset on Jacksonville Beach on Tuesday evening.

According to NASA, the Pink Moon is named after the herb moss pink, a native plant to the eastern U.S. and one of the earliest Spring flowers. Other names of this moon include Egg Moon, Sprouting Grass Moon, and Fish Moon.
On Monday, the moon entered this phase and will appear full until Thursday morning.
NASA said the next full moon will appear on the morning of May 23, called the “Flower Moon.” It will appear full for three days, beginning on Tuesday, May 21, and lasting until early Friday evening.
