WATCH: Driver crashes into Fairfax County Police Department cruiser

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) — The Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD) had a stern reminder for drivers on Thursday — put your phones down.

FCPD shared a video of a car crashing into an officer’s car on the X platform.

Dashcam and body camera footage showed that the incident happened early Thursday morning, around 5:15 a.m. The video showed the officer pull over to the side of the road, where another police car was stopped.

As the officer opens his door, a car crashes into it. FCPD said that the driver of that car was on her phone just before the crash.

FCPD said that nobody was injured in Thursday’s incident.
