Watch: Dog rescued after falling into sinkhole in Craig County

CRAIG COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) –A dog was reunited with its family after it fell in a sinkhole in Craig County on Monday morning.

Details are limited; however, the Roanoke County Fire and Rescue Department tells WFXR News that on May 7, the Division 6 Regional Technical Rescue Team was called to rescue a dog trapped in a sinkhole in the Paint Bank area.

Crews worked on the scene for hours and used a rope to pull the dog back up.

Thankfully, the dog was not hurt.
