The Fairfax County Police Department shared a post on X that started off by saying: “It’s hard to hide from a helicopter, but these suspects tried anyway.”

The post went on to explain that officers spotted the stolen car, which prompted the people in it to bail out of the car and take off on foot. Officers on the ground had some help from a helicopter crew and K9 and were able to take the people who’d been in the car into custody.

The post included video that showed police initially following the stolen car, the people getting inside getting out of it, then thermal or night vision imagery aerials of the pursuit on foot.
