TYLER, Texas (KETK) – A Tyler doctor has been arrested following an investigation for multiple charges of sexual assault.

According to authorities, Kenneth Haygood, 54 of Tyler, had an investigation opened into suspicions of sexual assaults in November of 2023. Officials said that the Texas Medical Board restricted Haygood’s license in June of 2023 after they investigated complaints of inappropriate conduct.

According to court documents, the conditions of Haygood’s restrictions included not being able to see, examine or treat female patients.

Investigators said that interviews with victims revealed that Haygood had allegedly sexually assaulted victims while claiming he was checking a patients thyroid, giving a therapeutic massage and performing examinations.

Corrigan-Camden ISD teacher arrested for solicitation of minor

Haygood was arrested on Tuesday and charged with three counts of sexual assault and one count of aggravated sexual assault of a child. Haygood remains in custody at the Smith County Jail with a bond set at $3.55 million.
