No rain delays expected to prolong World Series Game 5 in Los Angeles

Following an 18-inning marathon on Friday night, no rain threatens to prolong Game 5 in Los Angeles on Sunday.

After a thrilling 3-2 win by the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 3 on Friday night, followed by a 9-6 win by the Boston Red Sox in Game 4 on Saturday night, the series is 3-1 in favor of Boston.

For Game 5 on Sunday, the weather will remain rain-free, but conditions will be not be quite as warm. A first pitch temperature of around 75 F will fall to the upper 60s by the end of the ninth inning.

While gusty winds may pick up around Santa Barbara, much lighter wind is expected around Dodger Stadium and should not affect the game.

In the event that Game 6 is necessary on Tuesday, the teams will travel back to Fenway Park, where conditions will be dry and not quite as cold when compared to games 1 and 2.
