Warm and windy Wednesday, Thursday storms bring a cool down

ST. LOUIS — The storms of Tuesday evening are gone, but the strong breeze is not. On Wednesday, expect sunny skies with winds gusting to 30 to 35 mph with high temperatures near 80 degrees. That is 10-12 degrees above average. The wind will begin to ease into this evening. Overnight, expect clear skies. Wake up temperatures Thursday will be in the 50s.

Increasing clouds after daybreak Thursday, with rain and thunderstorms expected Thursday afternoon and evening. A few storms may be strong or severe. Highs in the upper 70s.

Rain will exit Thursday night and a north wind will take hold. That will usher in much cooler temperatures for Friday and the weekend. Highs on Friday and Saturday will only be near 60.
