Warm weather for Mother’s Day evening

Mothers had a nice and warm day in the City Beautiful for their special day.


Meteorologist George Waldenberger said we’ll have a dry, quiet evening, comfortable overnights, and Monday morning.

Looking ahead, Monday afternoon will feel like Sunday, hot and dry in most areas.

Rain chances are low, but we can’t rule out an isolated shower late on Monday.

Tuesday and Wednesday have a chance for late-day or evening storms.

Rain still looks relatively isolated on these days.

For the mid-to-end of next week, we have a high chance of afternoon storms on Thursday and Friday with heavy rain and lightning.

We’ll get a taste of the wet season by the end of next week, but don’t worry, we’re not quite there yet.

The typical start date for our wet season, the time of year with daily afternoon storms, is late May.
