Warm and humid conditions through the weekend, showers early next week

We’re entering more of a late-Spring early Summer type pattern across the area with the main jet stream located well to our north. This will steer all the storm systems north of us through the weekend. This leads to a pretty consistent weather forecast, with highs in the mid-80s each afternoon with a mix of clouds and sun.

South winds could ramp up tomorrow and through the weekend, however, as low-pressure moves to our north. Rain chances will remain isolated on Saturday and Sunday, in the 20% range.

By early next week, global models have a front trying to edge into the area from the north. The GFS model has the front hanging up well to our north, keeping rain chances isolated, but the European model sags the front further south, leading to higher rain chances on Monday and Tuesday. As of now, I’ll put rain chances in the 30-40% range for Monday and Tuesday of next week.
