Wanted man found hiding inside clothes dryer: Escambia County Sheriff’s Office

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — A man who Escambia County Sheriff’s Office deputies were looking for was found hiding inside a dryer, according to a news release.

Deputies received a tip on May 17 that 31-year-old David Jerome Jackson was inside a home off Edgewater Drive, according to ECSO officials.

An ECSO Facebook post said Jackson was wanted for shooting into a dwelling, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, damage to property, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, which reportedly happened in March 2024.

Deputies entered the home and began searching for Jackson. They then went into the laundry room and found Jackson folded inside the dryer.

Jackson was pulled out of the dryer and arrested.
