Wanted Green Bay man in stolen vehicle found with cocaine & marijuana, arrested for OWI

LAKE HALLIE, Wis. (WFRV) – A Green Bay man with an active felony warrant was arrested for OWI at a western Wisconsin Kwik Trip after officers seized roughly 20 grams of cocaine and 18 grams of marijuana from his vehicle.

According to the Lake Hallie Police Department, officers responded to the Kwik Trip on Commercial Boulevard in Lake Hallie just before 4 a.m. on May 14. It had been reported that a person was inside of a vehicle, allegedly acting strange and “possibly on drugs.”

When officers arrived, the suspected vehicle was seen with its hazard lights on and attempting to back up and leave. An officer was able to stop the vehicle and identified the driver as Green Bay man Julian Webster, 29.

Webster voluntarily submitted to field sobriety testing after the officer allegedly detected the odor of intoxicants, with Webster reportedly slurring his words and having “watery and bloodshot eyes.” It was also noted that Webster refused a preliminary breath test.

During the incident, officers found two bags of a ‘white powdery substance’ and multiple more bags of ‘white powdery substance’ inside the vehicle, totaling roughly 20 grams of suspected cocaine. The search also led to the seizure of roughly 18 grams of suspected marijuana and six THC cartridges.

Additionally, the officer learned that Webster had an active felony Department of Corrections warrant and later learned that the vehicle was allegedly stolen from Barron County.

Webster was arrested for:

  • Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated – 1st Offense

  • Operate Motor Vehicle while Revoked

  • Failure to Install Ignition Interlock Device

  • Possession with Intent to Manufacture/Deliver Schedule I and II Narcotics

  • Possession of Marijuana

Webster was taken to a local hospital where a search warrant was obtained for Webster’s blood, he was then taken to the Chippewa County Jail.

The Chippewa Falls Police Department assisted the Lake Hallie Police Department during the incident.
