Want to have your say on Washington County's land use plan? Here's your chance.

A series of public meetings begins Aug. 23 to give county residents an opportunity to respond to the recently released draft of the 2040 Comprehensive Plan, Washington County's land use guide for coming years.

The plan addresses how to manage future growth and its effect on the county's residents and resources. County officials will be available to discuss the plan and its approach to economic development, housing, transportation, water resources, agriculture and land preservation, historic properties and other issues.

The plan should be finalized next year, Planning Director Jill Baker has said.

Meetings have been set for the following times and locations:
