Want tickets to the beer festival in Penn State’s Beaver Stadium? Here are the details

Six weeks after it was announced, the first-of-its-kind beer festival inside Penn State’s Beaver Stadium is releasing ticket prices and ticket sales information.

Admission to the Hoppy Valley Brewers Fest — which will be held on the Nittany Lions’ home field May 11 — will go on sale 10 a.m. March 27 through Ticketmaster, according to a Tuesday news release. Standard admission will be $75, while day-of-event tickets will cost $95. VIP tickets that allow admission an hour earlier will cost $125, and will come with a “special VIP gift,” while day-of-event tickets will be set at $145.

Tickets for designated drivers will be $20. All prices include parking, but do not include taxes and fees.

The Hoppy Valley Brewers Fest is set to take place from 1-5 p.m. May 11, about a month after the Blue-White game. Ticket-holders will enter the festival through the south tunnel of Beaver Stadium, and the ID check and ticketing lines will start as early as 10 a.m., two hours before VIP admission. Those who purchase general or VIP admission will receive a “commemorative drinking vessel.”

More than 100 craft beers will be available to sample and, on the Hoppy Valley Brewers Fest website, more than 40 breweries are already confirmed as attending.

Organizers also released the live music lineup Tuesday, listing featured performers such as The Skoal Brothers, Lowjack, Caledonia, and The Cowpoke and the Poet.

The brewfest was made possible by Happy Valley Sports & Entertainment Alliance, Antifragile Brewing Company, Central Pennsylvania Tasting Trail, Breweries of Pennsylvania and The Happy Valley Adventure Bureau.
