Want to dodge the rain in Iowa? Forecast shows one day with a break

If you're looking to spend some time in the sun this week, Tuesday is probably your best, and maybe your only, bet.

Central Iowa can expect a generally rainy week with the most rain falling on Monday and Thursday, the National Weather Service in Des Moines said on social media.

What is the forecast for Monday in Iowa?

NWS said showers and storms are expected across southern Iowa on Monday. Parts of northern Iowa will be mostly dry after early morning rain, and central Iowa will see a few showers and isolated storms.

Showers are likely in Des Moines and thunderstorms are possible. NWS says there will be widespread haze before 4 p.m. and after 5 p.m., so stay cautious while driving.
