Want a cannabis-themed Colorado license plate? Annual benefit auction gives you the chance
Ten official cannabis-themed state license plates are now up for auction to support disability funding. On Saturday — 4/20 — the Colorado Disability Funding Committee launched the auction of the cannabis-themed plates including phrases like "NUGGET," "420," "COHEMP," "REEFER" and "GRASS."
Run annually since 2021, the auction proceeds are used to provide grants to support disability application assistance and various programs designed to benefit people with disabilities.
“The Colorado Disability Funding Committee has been an incredible support to the many nonprofits and local partners statewide working to improve life and increase opportunities for Coloradans with disabilities," Lt. Gov. Dianne Primavera said in a news release. "This auction continues to be a meaningful way to celebrate Colorado’s cannabis industry while making an impact in the lives of others."
