Walmart is throwing an in-store party on Thanksgiving with free food

Ain’t no party like a Walmart party … well, on Thanksgiving, at least!

In an effort to keep up with the ever competitive landscape of Thanksgiving and Black Friday deals and promotions amongst discount and chain retailers, Walmart is offering an in-store experience this turkey season that is sure to set it apart.

This Thanksgiving Day (November 22) beginning at 4. p.m local time, Walmart will be throwing its inaugural “Light Up Black Friday” party at locations across the country.

The retail giant will be serving up to four million cups of Keurig coffee along with two million free Christmas cookies (from the Walmart bakery, of course) until 6 p.m. the same day.

Chief Merchandising Officer of Walmart U.S., Steve Bratspie, said in a statement:

“There really is no bigger or better day of the year than Black Friday; that’s why we are pulling out all the stops to make it a great night for our customers.”

When the party starts, Walmart stores will also be rolling out another exciting Black Friday in-store initiative.

Black Friday deals have already begun rolling out on Walmart.com.
