ENTERPRISE — The Wallowa County Health Care District is launching a new scholarship program designed to support local students pursuing higher education, particularly those interested in health care careers.

The program offers three $1,000 scholarships:

• Two scholarships will be awarded to graduating high school seniors from any school in Wallowa County.

• One scholarship will be awarded to a nontraditional student attending or planning to return to an accredited institution for higher education (trade school, community college, college or university).

• Providing transcripts.

• Obtaining letters of recommendation.
