Beer tabbed as best in world

Wallenpaupack Brewing Company earned worldwide recognition for one of its flagship beers, the brewery announced Thursday.

The brewery's Paupack Cream Ale was selected as the World's Best Cream Ale in the 2022 World Beer Awards competition.

The local company was one of just six breweries based in the United States to have a beer recognized as best in the world.

Earlier this month, three Wallenpaupack Brewing Company beers — Hawley Hefeweizen, a wheat beer; For the Love of Lager, a rice beer; and Paupack Cream Ale — earned gold awards at the World Beer Awards for beers produced in the United States.
