‘The Walking Dead’ Season 7 Trailer Teases The Kingdom & More Negan – Comic-Con

Season 7 of The Walking Dead won’t hit until October 23, but AMC didn’t leave its Comic-Con Hall H fans completely in the dark about it as they await word of who exactly is on the receiving end of Negan’s bat — an answer that will come in Episode 1.

In the meantime, the network today dropped a trailer for the new season to roars from the SDCC crowd. After a retrospective of who Negan’s victim might be among the survivors, the trailer also showed fans their first look at King Ezekial (Khary Payton) and the Kingdom, which are a major part of the Robert Kirkman comics on which the blockbuster is based. The trailer also showed more of the Jeffrey Dead Morgan played Negan in action and a wild car chase. “It’s absolutely worth the wait,” executive producer Kirkman said.

Leading up to the Season premiere, AMC said it will air a behind-the-scenes The Walking Dead Season 7 Preview Special on August 14 and a two-hour retrospective with the working title of The Walking Dead Recap Special on October 16.

The trailer came during the panel featuring TWD stars Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Lauren Cohan, Steven Yeun, Danai Gurira, Chandler Riggs, Sonequa Martin-Green, Michael Cudlitz, Josh McDermitt, Ross Marquand, and Christian Serratos along with EP’s Gale Anne Hurd, Kirkman, Greg Nicotero, Scott M. Gimple and Dave Alpert.
